HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year 2012 to all my blog followers, thanks for checking in.   A year full of new projects what fun it will be.

A card inspired by Jill which I did at my lat class and I am sure the girls will be keen to do this at the next class.  The bodice is punched out of the 2 1/2" circle and the skirt from the scallop circle and the DSP is new and is embossed and sanded to give texture.

BIG DAY OUT SWAP

This was my swap.  Using NEW in colour calypso coral which is gorgeous.
This is the petite pocket die for the big shot, and the designer frames embossing folder in the front panel and punched out oval which was printed with parlor prints in calypso coral, and the birds from clearly for you, spritzed with gold   It had chocolates in it.

CARD FOR NEXT CLASS

This one is from an idea from kwerner design modified.  I have never used Melon Mambo so decided to do so.  It is a time consuming card where the heart is the closure.   A lot of manual work but lots of fun, that will get the girls going.

Wait till they see the others, all special folds and closures - yay and some new product.

TECHNIQUES BOOK OR SCRAPBOOK ALBUM

Tonights class we are going to make these cool books. They take the clear 6x6 scrapbook page protectors and you can use for either scrapbook pages as an album, or to  back to back with techniques you have learned to refer to.   Make a fabulous gift, and the letters on the front are cut with the Bigz alphabet and you can spell out a name, or description.
Designer paper is from the Elegant Soiree range, it is awesome.   These can be as over the top as your hearts desire.  This I firstly did at a class of Jacqueline Pedersen it was such fun, thanks Jacque

CONVERTING JUMBO WHEELS TO CLEAR STAMPS

Now this was fun.  I took two of my jumbo wheels that I really liked parts of the wheel especially and thought they would make great stamps.  I took the rubber off the roller by cutting with my craft knife down the join.   I bought some "cling mount" and on the grey cling side (not the super sticky side) I stamped the image with black stazon.   To be able to stamp it I first used some dotto temporary adhesive and held them on a clear block.  Once stamped I cut around the image and then peeled off the backing exposing the super sticky side and adhered the rubber stamp.  Now I have 10 cool stamps that I can use on a clear block.
